Mombo Camp is one of the finest safari camps in the region and is the perfect Safari destination for guests keen on seeing the ‘Big Five’.

The understated décor of the camp incorporates lovely African fabrics and exquisite pictures of the African wildlife.

Mombo has a ‘kgotla’ or boma for delicious outdoor dining under the stars as well as exceptional views over the landscape.

The area prides itself on being the best game viewing location in Botswana, and with the tented rooms all being on raised platforms, the game have free range to wander the park, frequently resting beneath the rooms. Commonly sighted game includes buffalo, elephant, giraffe and all their predators.

This concentration of wildlife allows for a range of game-viewing opportunities. Game drives around Mombo Island, as well as around Chief’s Island are offered. For a more active exploration of the wilderness, walking safaris are also available.

Rooms

Mombo Camp has 9 luxurious, tented rooms, raised off the ground with connecting walkways, allowing game to wander freely. Each room is equipped with its own en-suite bathroom and an additional outdoor shower for those wishing to get even closer to nature. Each room has its own veranda as well as its own sala.

Location

Mombo Camp is situated on Mombo Island just off the northern tip of Chief’s Island in the Moremi Game Reserve.  It is in the central Okavango Delta area, in northern Botswana.
